GOLD! When Irfan Pathan, L Balaji taught each other Hindi and English; sadly only once succeeded

New Delhi: Former Indian pacers Irfan Pathan and Lakshmipathy Balaji have enjoyed some splendid on-field and off-field moments. The duo have had many successful stints in the Indian jersey, particularly against Pakistan.

As Balaji announced retirement from first class cricket, his former teammate Pathan recalled the occasion when the two first met while playing for India A.

The activity turned out to be of value to Irfan Pathan, who learnt some English from Balaji but the same can't be said about the latter.

The left-handed seamer also tweeted that Balaji might have retired from first class cricket but he will never retire from the former's friendship.
