New Delhi: The Vijay Hazare Trophy semi-final match between Jharkhand and Bengal was postponed after the hotel in which MS Dhoni and his teammates were staying had caught fire on Friday.

Earlier scheduled to take place at the Air Force stadium in Palam, Dwarka on March 17, the match was rescheduled to March 18 at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium.

Despite it being a low-profile match, crowd had turned up in huge numbers to watch their favourite Mahi bat. One fan, however, seized the opportunity and went on to by-pass security officials and touch the holy feet of MS Dhoni before casually walking back into the stands.

Since it was a semi-final match and Dhoni was leading the youngsters from Jharkhand, he couldn't attend the ongoing third Test between India and Australia in Ranchi, the stadium's first ever Test match.
