New Delhi: Surprised inclusion Kuldeep Yadav had a dream debut as the chinaman bowler helped India fight back with two Australian quick wickets on Day 1 of the fourth Test in Dharamsala Saturday.

Yadav, 22, was included in the playing XI, in place of skipper Virat Kohli. The decision came as a surprise to many, considering the facts that Kohli is a batsman and the Dharamsala pitch has a history of assisting pacers.

But the talented spinner proved Indian team's decision a masterstroke by sending back Aussie opener David Warner, Peter Handscomb and Glenn Maxwell.

Warner, who was dropped by Karun Nair at second slip off the very first ball of the match by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and also survived couple more edges, failed was undone by extra bounce from Kuldeep.

Stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane took a brilliant catch at slip. That happened off the first ball of the 35th over. Watch the dismissal HERE.

It was followed by a magical delivery, to send back Peter Handscomb. The ball took a deadly turn after pitching outside the offstump. And the result, a classic spin wicket. It happened off the fifth ball of the 45th over.

Three overs later, Kuldeep was it again, bowling Glenn Maxwell with another beauty. Maxwell failed to picked the wrong'un and was wickets castle. Watch the video HERE.

Earlier, Aussie skipper won the toss and opted to bat. They lost opener Matt Renshaw early, but Warner and Smith produced a good stand which helped the visitors cross 100-run mark.

But their innings came crashing down, thanks to the Yadavs. Another Yadav, Umesh scalped two wickets, those of Renshaw and Shaun Marsh.
