Brian Lara makes return to on-field action, will play alongside Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting

Mumbai: Former West Indies captain and one of the legends of world cricket – Brian Lara – will reportedly feature in Western Australia's Festival of Cricket alongside Adam Gilchrist and Ricky Ponting.

Lara will star in a Cricket Twenty20 exhibition match against the Perth Scorchers on December 13, reported Cricket Australia on Friday.

Former batting sensation Andrew Symonds too will be a part of the team besides wicket-keeper Gilchrist and Ponting. Lara will be accompanied by ex-South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs. The union of these giants of international cricket will prove to be a lethal combination for sure!

The veteran cricketer from West Indies had participated in 2014 and 2015 too. This will be his third consecutive association with Festival of Cricket.

The Festival of Cricket is one of Western Australia's most anticipated annual cricket events at the Aquinas College Ground in Perth.
