Anil Kumble and Sachin Tendulkar the most dangerous Indian players, says Sanath Jayasuriya

New Delhi: One of the finest openers ever in cricket history, Sanath Jayasuriya was recently in India for the launch of book ‘A Tall Order’ written by Kapil Pathare.

In an interview with The Qunit at the event, Jayasuriya talked a lot about Indian cricket, especially the most dangerous bowler and batsmen as per him

“For me it’s Anil Kumble. He had a lot of variations and he was a thinking bowler, always tried to look into the weakness of his opponent and he is a smart cricketer,” Sanath said answering the question on who was the most dangerous Indian bowler he ever faced.

The Matara Mauler then went on to brand Sachin Tendulkar the most dangerous Indian batsmen known to him.

“The most dangerous was always Sachin. He handled and absorbed pressure really well and the way he played.”

“I played IPL with Sachin, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan, so these three are very close to me because I played with them in the Mumbai Indians.”

The 47-year-old also called Yuvraj Singh and Virender Sehwag as the two most attractive Indian batsmen for the way they tormented bowlers on their will.
