My favourite airport: Miami international.
What I like about it: There is something distinctive about the airport. It has a particular “vacation” air about it. The whole setting seems like it has been designed for people or travellers and not passengers which makes it a cheerful experience. And yes, the queues move quicker here compared to other busy US airports, thanks to the fast check-in process and automated ticket-vending machines.
What could be improved?
The airport definitely needs some work in terms of infrastructure, décor, shopping and food options. An upgrade especially could do wonders to this fabulous airport.
Other favourite airports:
I am a big fan of the T3 terminal in Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International airport. The T3 FM station is something I love. They always play music that my generation grew up with but never grew out of. It brings out the feeling of nostalgia and reminds me of simpler times.
A world-class infrastructure constructed using the North light concept which increases illumination, and the décor which reflects Indian values are the other major attractions.
