Banking is a profession that touches the lives and hearts of people, according to AK Vinod, Deputy General Manager and Head of Mangaluru zone of Corporation Bank.
Delivering a guest lecture to the students of Nitte Institute of Banking and Finance here recently, he said banking profession is connected to all the industries. Vinod said that a successful professional focuses on the expeditious execution of tasks, accuracy and precision. An effective and successful banking professional acquires required knowledge, skill and attitude. Apart from this, such a professional keeps himself/herself updated about the relevant areas of banking, he said. The lecture was organised by BusinessLine . He urged the banking students to read at least one business newspaper daily.
Regular reading of editorials and articles written by experts will help bankers come up in their career, he said. The lecture was followed by an interactive session with students.
