More than 300 companies participated in ‘Alva’s Pragati’, a mass placement drive organised by Alva’s Education Foundation, at Moodbidri in Dakshina Kannada district on Saturday.
A press release said here that 10,242 students had registered online. It said 2,173 students did spot registration on Saturday.
Inaugurating the placement drive, BR Shetty, Executive Vice-Chairman and CEO of Abu Dhabi-based NMC Healthcare, said ‘Alva’s Pragati’ is a platform for rural masses to find suitable jobs.
K Abhaychandra Jain, MLA from Moodbidri, lauded the efforts of Alva Foundation.
Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Educational Foundation, welcomed the gathering.
Vivek Alva, Managing Trustee of the foundation, and Ganesh Karnik, Member of Legislative Council, were present on the occasion.
