Terracotta chess pieces from Mohenjodaro, a Tibetan stirrup, dashavatar cards from Bengal, playing cards from Rajasthan made of leather, and toys made of terracotta will be on display at the Indian Museum during World Heritage Week starting today. The theme as decided by the International Council on Monuments and Sites is ‘The Heritage of Sport’.

A Delhi court is to hear today the petroleum ministry documents leak case in which 13 accused, including five corporate executives, were charge-sheeted. All 13 accused are presently out on bail. Earlier, the ministry had informed the court that eight documents allegedly recovered from the accused were classified in nature and not in the public domain.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to dedicate to the nation the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital at Kakryal, near Katra, in Jammu and Kashmir today, in the company of dignitaries. The 230-bed ₹300-crore hospital was recently operationalised.
