An IAS officer of 1976 batch, Rajen Habib Khwaja has taken charge as the Director General of the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) here.
Khwaja, who superannuated in 2014 held key positions including Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministries of Tourism and Mines, and Chairman and Managing Director of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). He turned the loss making Public Sector Undertaking to a profit making company, which paid dividend after 37 years gap in 2003.
Khwaja has has lectured in World Bank (Washington D.C.), Hubert Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota, and Trinity College, Dublin.
With Modi Siddiqui, Managing Director of Intellects Biz, he co-authored a book on management of change titled “The Acrobatics of Change - Concepts, Techniques, Strategies and Execution” published by SAGE in September, 2008.
