Customs sleuths at Kempegowda Interantional Airport, Bengaluru have seized 96 baggages belonging to 21 passengers who travelled by Thai Airlines flight No TG 325 and Malaysian Airlines flight No MH 192 from Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur on January 30 at 11.50 pm.
Customs officials said on close examination it was found that the cigarettes majorly of ‘Esse Lights’ brand were concealed inside the baggages (each carton contained 10x20 sticks) and were valued at Rs 1.37 crore.
