Barclays Group Chief Executive Officer Jes Staley on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter's office, the PMO tweeted after the meeting.
The meeting assumes significance as it comes close on the heels of Britain’s decision to leave the European Union. Brexit is seen as a negative for European investment banks as it could subdue deal making and affect trading.
