Ram Kishore, an employee of Corporation Bank at Service Branch in New Delhi, started his journey from Mangaluru to Amarnath shrine in Jammu and Kashmir by two-wheeler.
Jai Kumar Garg, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank, flagged off the 6,900-km journey at the bank’s corporate office in Mangaluru on Thursday.
A press release by the bank said here that Kishore will spread the Prime Minister’s message of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ and ‘Swachh Bharat’ and promote Corporation Bank during this journey.
Kishore will travel from Mangaluru to Bengaluru and move towards Hubballi, Belagavi, Pune, Mumbai, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Delhi, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Pathankot, Jammu, Srinagar and Baltal. The 16-km journey from Baltal to Amarnath will be by walk, it said.
