The board of directors of NLC India is set to meet on Tuesday to consider a buyback proposal. Investors in the company will keep an eye on the price, quantity and mode of the buyback.
Local political parties have always been focussing on any deveopment at NLC. In 2013, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa objecting to a disinvestment move had suggested to the then Prime Minister to buy back NLC shares held by the public and go for delisting.
