Crompton Greaves has informed the exchanges that a fire broke out at the company’s transformer office building in Kanjurmarg, Mumbai, on late night Saturday (July 30). The fire was confined to the transformer office building and was controlled thanks to the quick arrival of fire tenders. There were no casualties or injuries, it added. “The fire was restricted to the office area and the manufacturing facilities were not impacted. Customer deliveries will not be hampered as plant operations are as per schedule. An investigation into the cause of the fire and the extent of damage is in progress,” the statement said. In the meantime, contingency plans in line with the company’s business continuity management processes are being activated to restore operational normalcy of the affected areas. Shares of Crompton Greaves closed flat at ₹78.5 on the NSE.
