Adani Power has sought shareholders’ nod to raise up to ₹10,000 crore through issuance of equity shares or other instruments, such as GDR, ADR or debentures, and increasing its earlier borrowing limit. The special resolution of the firm is listed on the agenda of the Annual General Meeting of the company scheduled for August 9, Adani Power said in a notification to the exchanges on Monday. The company said it will increase its borrowing limit to ₹45,000 crore from ₹35,000 crore. The company has also sought shareholders’ approval to invite subscription by making one or more offers through redeemable secured/unsecured non-convertible debentures in one or more tranches during the year. Shares of Adani Power closed at ₹28.25, down 2.25 per cent on the NSE.

Ajanta Pharma has launched generic omeprazole and sodium bicarbonate capsules, used in the treatment of acid reflux and ulcers, in the US market after receiving final approval from the country’s health regulator. The company has launched the product in the US through its wholly owned subsidiary, Ajanta Pharma USA Inc, the company informed the exchanges on Monday. The approval from the US Food and Drug Administration is for capsules in the strengths of 20mg/1,100 mg and 40 mg/1,100 mg, it added. The capsules are generic versions of Santarus Inc’s Zegerid capsules. Shares of Ajanta Pharma slipped 1 per cent at ₹1,580.05, on the NSE.

Firstsource Solutions on Monday said that its overseas arm, Firstsource Solutions UK Ltd, will be the sole preferred vendor of Sky Subscriber Services Ltd to provide television and broadband services for 10 years. The stock of Firstsource Solutions ended up 2.5 per cent at ₹49.15 on the NSE.
