Ahluwalia Contracts has bagged new orders worth ₹493 crore for construction of institutional and commercial buildings. In a release to the exchanges on Monday, the company said it has secured orders worth ₹401.59 crore for construction of the South Asian University campus at New Delhi and a ₹91.06-crore order for structure and finishing works of Brookfield Asset Management. Currently, the unexecuted order book of Ahluwalia Contracts stands at ₹4,507 crore, the company said. However, shares of Ahluwalia Contracts edged down 0.3 per cent at ₹280.65 on the NSE.
Insecticides (India) has received certificate of registration for the herbicide Bispyribac Sodium. In a notification to the exchanges on Monday, the company said it received the certificate under Section 9(3) of the Insecticides Act, 1968. The company said that its brand for Bispyribac Sodium 10 per cent w/v SC would be Green Label. Insecticides (India) manufactures all types of insecticides, weedicides, fungicides and PGRs for use on all types of crops and in households. Shares of Insecticides (India) gained about 2.3 per cent at ₹450.8 on the NSE.
Adani Power has informed the exchanges that its wholly owned subsidiary Adani Power Maharashtra has shut down four units of 660 MW each out of its total five units of 660 MW each, situated at Tiroda plant, due to acute water shortage. Tiroda power plant gets water under a long-term arrangement with Dhapewada Project of Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation. Due to drought conditions in Maharashtra, there is no water in the dam for supply to the Tiroda power plant. Production at these units will resume upon availability of water. Shares of Adani Power slipped marginally at ₹29.45 on the NSE.
