Bharat Electronics (BEL) has fixed September 27 (Tuesday) as the record date to identify eligible shareholders for the proposed buyback offer. That means investors who wish to participate in the buyback offer will have to buy BEL shares by Friday, as the stock will turn ex-date on Monday. BEL plans to buy back up to 1.663 crore shares at a price of ₹1,305 a share on propotionate basis through the tender offer route. The BEL stock on Thursday closed at around ₹1,256.
