Silver prices fell Rs 150 to Rs 41,555 per kg at the futures trade today as speculators cut down their bets amid a weak trend overseas.
Silver for delivery in far-month May was trading down by Rs 150 or 0.36 per cent at Rs 41,555 per kg at the Multi Commodity Exchange. It clocked a business volume of two lots.
The white metal for delivery in March fell Rs 102 to trade at Rs 40,920 per kg in a business turnover of 1,398 lots.
Market analysts said, offloading of positions by speculators in sync with a weak trend in global market, mainly pulled down silver prices at the futures trade here.
In the international market, silver traded 0.16 per cent lower at $16.69 an ounce in Singapore.
