Sugar prices ruled mixed with fair quality being sold lower at ₹5-8 a quintal and fine variety sold higher at ₹5-7 at Vashi on back of routine demand-supply and volumes. Naka and mill tender prices were unchanged.
Freight rates were steady. Arrivals to the Vashi market were about 58-60 truck loads and local dispatches were at 55-56 loads lifting the inventory to 118-120 truck loads.
The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹3,550-3,662 (3,556-3,646) and M-grade ₹3,636-3,752 (3,642-3,752). Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹3,530-3,610 (3,530-3,610) and M-grade ₹3,590-3,710 (3,590-3,710).
