Edible oils prices ruled mixed on slack demand amid thin volatility in futures. With need-based activities on the BCE, palmolein and soya oil increased by ₹2 per 10 kg each. Indigenous edible oils were weak on reports that rains in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh will boost oilseeds sowing. Local refineries kept their rates steady.
Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹560, super palmolein ₹580, soyabean refined oil ₹632. Allana traded palmolein for ₹563, soya refined oil ₹635, sunflower refined at ₹740. At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin was ₹2,000 (2,010) and loose (10 kg) was ₹1,290 (1,280).
