Edible oils in spot market ruled steady on thin volume amid weak overseas futures. On the BCE, palmolein and cotton oil declined by ₹3 and ₹5 per 10 kg each and other edible oils remained unchanged. Tracking bearish Malaysian palm oil futures and thin volatility in rupee stockists stayed away. Local refineries maintained their rates but higher reselling pressure kept volume thin. Liberty’s rates for palmolein was at ₹630, super palmolein at ₹651 and soyabean refined oil ex Shapur ₹725. Ruchi’srate for sunflower oil was ₹717.50. Allana’s ratesfor palmolein ₹628, soya refined oil ₹725, sunflower refined oil ₹725. Golden agri traded palmolein at ₹620. In Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin declined by ₹10 to ₹1,520 and loose (10 kg) eased by ₹5 to ₹965. BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg) were: groundnut oil 1020 (1,020), soya refined oil 715 (715), sunflower exp. ref. 660 (660), sunflower ref. 715 (715), rapeseed ref. oil 830 (830), rapeseed expeller ref. 800 (800), cottonseed ref. oil 690 (695) and palmolein 615 (618).
