Mobile learning management platform Byndr has raised $700,000 in seed funding from Education Design Studio (the education-technology accelerator at the University of Pennsylvania), Ben Franklin Technology Partners and a group of angel investors.
“We will utilise the proceeds to expand the sales and development team. This round of funding will allow us to accelerate expansion and continue providing easy-to- use and mobile-first products to all stakeholders in higher education,” said Joseph Freed, co-founder and CEO.
“Part of the funds will also be used in growing the product scope by providing more access to educational content for students and more administrative features for colleges.”
In the last 16 months, the start-up roped in 50 colleges in India with a base of 50,000 students.
