Vikas Ecotech Ltd, on Friday, said it has commenced construction of the Phase I of its plant at Dahej, district Ankleshwar in Gujarat, which will start trial production by January 2017.
Vikas Ecotech, a listed company manufacturing specialty and eco-friendly chemicals, will start full-fledged production in April 2017. It is investing Rs.30 crore on the project, the company said here.
After its facilities in Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir, the Dahej plant will be the third plant of the company and will increase capacity to manufacture eco-friendly chemicals by 200%.
It will serve markets in western and southern India and boost exports by providing better and faster access to major sea ports. The facility will add a capacity of 6,000 MT of Organotin stabilizers (MTM), the lead-free alternative additive, and 5,000 MT of specialty polymer compounds annually, Vikas Garg, Managing Director, said.
