United Spirits Ltd (USL), a Diageo group company, has posted higher profits at ₹43.80 crore for first quarter of the current fiscal on standalone basis as against ₹11.61 crore during the same period last year.
The company’s total income from operations was up 9.66 per cent at ₹2,027.33 crore (₹1848.72 crore).
The company’s presentation to shareholders and exchanges said the first-quarter results were in line with expectations.
Commenting on the quarter Anand Kripalu, Chief Executive Officer, USL, said “Our strategy and investments over the last two years has clearly driven momentum. Looking at our first quarter results, the overall performance demonstrates that we have the right strategy in place.”
