R Sreenivasulu, currently working as the Deputy General Manager/in-charge (construction)/structural mills of rolling mills at Visakhapatnam steel plant, has been selected as the Chairman and Managing Director of Scooters India under the Ministry of Heavy Industries. He will take charge of the new assignment on October 6, according to a press release.
The 55-year-oild Sreenivasulu is a post-graduate (M.E. Metallurgy) from the Indian Institute of Sciences (I.I.Sc), Bangalore. He had joined the Visakhapatnam steel plant as management trainee in 1985 and has held several important positions during the past 31 years.
He worked in various capacities in important departments like rolling mills construction, research and development wing, corporate strategic management wing and operations wing of the steel melting shop. Sreenivasulu has visited various countries like China, Austria, Italy, and the UK.
