Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd has reported a 42 per cent loss in net profit and a 1.76 per cent increase in turnover in the third quarter of 2015-16, ended December 31, 2015, as compared to the corresponding period last fiscal.
While the sales turnover was ₹463.19 crore (₹455.20 crore), net profit stood at ₹15.21 crore (₹25.92 crore), according to a release here.
The company’s profit before tax (PBT) declined by 26.61 per cent, from ₹39.12 crore to ₹28.71 crore, was due to margin impacts, said AM Tiwari, Managing Director.
