Coromandel International Ltd, an arm of the Murugappa Group, has posted a turnover of ₹2,270 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2016, against ₹2,780 crore in the same quarter last year. The net profit was put at ₹113 crore (₹82 crore) in the quarter.
“With the government supporting domestic manufacturing industry, agrarian reforms and rural infrastructure, we expect a positive business sentiment going forward,” said Sameer Goel, Managing Director.
For the nine-month period, the firm registered a turnover of ₹7,898 crore (₹8,579 crore) and a net profit of ₹333 crore (₹266 crore). The firm is into the fertiliser, speciality nutrients, crop protection products and organic manure business.
The consolidated turnover for the third quarter was at ₹2,271 crore (₹2,783 crore) and the net profit was put at ₹112 crore (₹81 crore).
