APM Terminals Inland Services, South Asia, has signed an exclusive agreement with Volvo Cars to provide a dedicated, specialised warehouse in Chennai.
The customised warehouse will provide an integrated inland services solution for Volvo’s Completely Built Up units imported from Europe through the Chennai port. The 1.02-lakh-sq-ft facility will include bonded and non-bonded areas with an overall capacity of 500 vehicles, said Ajit Venkataraman, Managing Director, APM Terminals India, in a press release.
APM Terminals India, a part of the APM Terminals, comprises Container Freight Stations (CFS) with a total bonded yard area of 2.6 million sq ft empty depots in multiple locations with dry and reefer repair workshops and is backed by a trucking fleet to manage shunts and primary transportation.
It has CFS facilities at Nhava Sheva, Chennai, Dadri and Kochi, the release said.
