Second seed Riya Bhatia set up a title clash against seventh seed Ana Bianca Mihaila of Romania in the $10,000 ITF women’s event in Egypt. she defeated sixth seed Britt Geukens of Belgium in three sets in the semifinals.
In the doubles final top seeds Elena-Teodora Cadar of Romania and Gudalupe Perez Rojas of Argentina prevailed over Mihaila and Shweta Rana 7-5, 7-6(5). It was the second successive loss in the doubles final for the second seeded Indo-Romanian combination.
