JSW India squash circuit from Sept. 3

The NSCI Open this week, followed by two PSA men’s international competitions, will mark the JSW India squash circuit between September 3 and October 22 at Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.

The NSCI tournament will be followed by the CCI International and Kolkata International, both $35,000 events, followed by a circuit event at Chennai. The total prize money is $120,000.

Foreign players

The NSCI Open has attracted Great Britain’s Adrian Waller, German Raphael Kandra, and Mumbai’s Mahesh Mangaonkar in the men’s category.

Joshana Chinappa is the biggest name in the women’s event and faces competition from world junior champion Habiba Mohamed of Egypt and Hong Kong’s Joey Chan, both ranked inside the world top 25.

The PSA events will see the likes of Spain’s Borja Golan at the CCI International, apart from Saurav Ghosal.

The circuit is promoted by Ivy Sports and JSW Steel, under the aegis of Squash Rackets Federation of India and World Squash Federation.

JSW India Squash circuit: NSCI Open, Sept. 3-6.

PSA CCI International: Sept. 10-13, CCI.

PSA Kolkata International: Sept. 24-27, Calcutta Racquet Club.

JSW India Squash circuit: Sept. 19-22, Indian Squash Academy, Chennai.
