The Delhi High Court will send a copy of Justice (Retd) Mukul Mudgal’s report on the conduct of matches at the Feroze Shah Kotla to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for possible action.

Justice S. Muralidhar and Justice Najmi Waziri, in the order dated July 11, have said, “The report contains useful suggestions which concern both the DDCA as well as the BCCI. Accordingly, the Court considers it appropriate to direct that one copy of the said report which has been tendered in Court be despatched forthwith to the secretary, BCCI to be placed before the BCCI for its consideration.”

It stated further, “The report reflects that the DDCA has been able to save Rs. 7 crores (approximately) from the World T20 Matches. Learned counsel for the DDCA assures the Court that any expenditure from out of the above amount would be strictly in accordance with the guidelines of the BCCI and will be fully accounted for by the DDCA.

“He further states that a substantial portion of the amount would not be disbursed till the next date of hearing. The accounts of the DDCA specific to the World T20 Matches and IPL Matches held in 2016 be placed before the Court once they are finalised.”
