Sunrisers Hyderabad mentor V.V.S. Laxman said it would be too early to rule out any team in the ongoing Indian Premier League, and that his team is aware that Rising Pune Supergiants will try to bounce back when the two teams meet here on Tuesday.
“We have seen in the past how Mumbai Indians fought back after losing the early games. It is all about momentum in this format. Once you start winning, you can keep going, and once you start losing it can be the other way. Pune has some world-class and experienced players, and are no push-overs,” Laxman said.
“We are pleased with the way we have been performing. We have a very flexible and formidable line-up. We have great depth in batting given the fact that someone like Naman Ojha had batted down the order in the other game. And there is plenty of variety in our bowling too,” Laxman said.
“We are essentially looking to sticking to our plans and executing them so that we can be the best side by being as consistent as possible.”
“It is important for the top-three in the batting line-up to get going and set a foundation for the others to go all out.
“It is really good that Shikhar (Dhawan), who is an impact player, is getting into his familiar groove in the company of Warner. We continue to look forward for repeat performances from them,” Laxman said.The best part of our campaign this season has been that our bowlers are doing a great job even on some real good batting tracks.
“I don’t want to single out any individual in this department but it has been a really wonderful collective effort by the bowlers so far”.
