India Pistons secured a five-wicket win over UFCC (T. Nagar) to reach the final of the Plate group in the TNCA first division league on Wednesday. Wilkins Victor’s 122 (214b, 13x4) helped Young Stars take the first innings lead against Nelson and set up a final clash with India Pistons from April 11.
At Guru Nanak, IOB took a 248-run first innings lead as ICF folded up for 284 and followed on; M.S. Promoth (113 n.o., 200b, 10x4) and R. Jayachandran (61 n.o., 54b, 2x4, 5x6) forced a draw with a 101-run fourth-wicket stand.
IOB’s left-arm spinner M. Siddharth finished with a first innings spell of six for 82.
