Modispeak

This refers to a letter (on April 2) in this column on the subject of Mr. Modi attacking the Congress president in connection with the Italian marines case. Mr. Modi distorts facts, and it is strange that the media do not point this out. By repeating them over and over again, he makes them stick. For example, the Centre has played a major part in Gujarat’s development, but far from expressing even a nominal acknowledgement of this fact, he sticks to his claim of the Centre being partial, then seeking to claim all credit for himself. He has never once explained his development vision in detail to the nation, nor responded to genuine criticism.
