A 28-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped at Narsapur in Medak district late on Friday night. After first aid at the government hospital at Sangareddy, she was shifted to a private hospital at Secunderabad.

According to A. Venkata Raja Goud, Sub-Inspector, Narsapur, the woman was at Narsapur Chowrastha after attending a sewing machine training class.

She told the police that she was dragged into a car and gang-raped by five persons, who later abandoned her on the roadside. She was admitted to the government hospital at Sangareddy in the wee hours of Saturday and later shifted to a private hospital at Secunderabad.

However, the police were not clear about what exactly happened as she was reportedly changing her versions. The police said that they would be in a position to ascertain the facts only after getting the medical reports. Narsapur police registered a case.
