The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) is must for medical and dental courses but students who wish to take allied courses like veterinary sciences and horticulture also have to take the Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) on May 15.
The government clarified this in the wake of reports in a section of media that medical test of the EAMCET has become null and void in view of the Supreme Court judgment.
The EAMCET Convenor, N.V. Ramana Rao said that all the medical aspirants have to appear for the medical part of EAMCET from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. for entry into other medical courses like BAMS, BHMS, BNYS offered by various Universities.
Students must appear for medical part of EAMCET on May 15 from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. for entry into courses offered by Agricultural University, Veterinary University and Horticulture University. These courses include B.V.Sc., B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc. Food Sciences and B.Tech. (Commercial Agriculture and Business Management).
Meanwhile, sources said that the government is thinking of offering coaching classes to government college students to ensure that they don't lose out in the NEET due to varied syllabus.
