TRS lays claim to Narasimha Rao legacy

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Saturday laid claim to the political legacy of the former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, belonging to the rival Congress, with its government announcing that a district and a university would be named after him.

Further, the TRS government will pass a Cabinet resolution urging the Centre to confer on him the Bharat Ratna. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao made these announcements at a meeting to mark the 93rd birth anniversary of Narasimha Rao.
