Transgender found murdered in Bhadrachalam

A transgender was found murdered on the premises of a shopping complex in Bhadrachalam town in the early hours of Friday. The deceased reportedly hailed from Sarapaka of Burgampadu mandal.

Sources said that the local residents found the body of the transgender, aged around 28 years, lying behind a commercial complex near the bus station in the early hours of the day.

The body bore deep stab wounds on the neck, sources added. Bhadrachalam ASP R. Bhaskaran inspected the scene of offence and examined the CCTV footage at the commercial complex, housing the local branch of a public sector bank.

The town police are investigating the case under the direct supervision of the ASP.
