TNSF leaders stage dharna

July 20, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 06:00 am IST - KARIMNAGAR:

The Telugunadu Students Federation (TNSF), Karimnagar district, leaders staged a massive dharna in front of the Collectorate office in Karimnagar town on Tuesday, alleging that the State government has failed to solve several issues in the education sector.

‘KCR used students’

Participating as chief guest in the dharna, TDP district president and former legislator Ch. Vijayaramana Rao alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao used students extensively during the Telangana statehood movement and later neglected their plight after assuming power.

Flaying the government for not releasing the fee-reimbursement amount to students, he complained that private educational institutes were harassing the students demanding the fees.

TNSF national coordination committee member Tatikonda Ramesh called upon students to launch agitational programmes demanding their legitimate rights to fee reimbursement and employment.

Memo submitted

State secretary P. Ravinder, district president B. Srikanth, secretary B, Avinash and others participated in the dharna.

They later submitted a memorandum to Joint Collector Sri Devasena.

“The CM used students extensively during the Telangana statehood movement and later neglected their plight after assuming power”
