‘Stop Diabetes’ programme gets under way

The ‘Stop Diabetes’ programme for Singareni miners got under way at Srirampur area in Adilabad district on Friday evening with about 150 miners participating in the programme aimed at controlling diabetes through yoga and diet regimen.

Experts from the Bengaluru-based Vivekananda Yoga University are training the miners in yoga during sessions being held between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. every day.

As many as 10 miners from each of the coal mine have been selected for the pilot programme by Sharwani and Samruddhi, the trainers from the Yoga University.
