The three-day visit of the NAAC peer team led by its chairman Prem Sharda in the Women’s College here came to an end on Wednesday. The team inspected the departments of Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and interacted with students and academics.
Labs, hostels observed
On the first day of their visit on Monday, they were received by the college president and former MP M. Narayan Reddy, secretary and correspondent G.V. Krupakar Reddy, teaching and non-teaching staff and students. The college NCC cadets presented the guard of honour to the visiting dignitaries.
The team comprising Prof. A.P. Pandey and Pramila Maini observed the laboratories and hostels. Principal D.P. Shanti Kumari gave powerpoint presentation on the infrastructure and academic performance of the college. The team also visited the BSW, MSW, Computer Science, Commerce, Political Science, History and Economics departments.
Statement sent to UGC
The team prepared a statement basing on its observations in the college and sent the same to the UGC in a sealed cover. The members expressed their satisfaction on the facilities available in the college.
