The Lok Satta udyama samstha district unit has urged the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Karimnagar district unit, to break their silence and react to reports about the rampant appendicitis and hysterectomy surgeries and unethical practices by some private medical practitioners in the district.
In a press note here on Saturday, Lok Satta district president N. Srinivas, general secretary Prakash Holla, and members K.C. Reddy and R. Chandraprabhakar, among others, said that the IMA doctors should clarify about various issues being raised in the media about the rampant surgeries in various parts of the district. Reacting to the report about the RMPs association alleging that some qualified doctors were resorting to unethical practices, they said that the IMA should clarify on the same. The district medical and health officials as well as RMPs have also found fault with some doctors resorting to rampant surgeries for making a fast buck, and urged the IMA to ban the medical practice of some doctors who bought disrepute to the profession.
