Lions Club representatives K. Chandrashekar Rao donated a water purification plant to Zilla Parishad High School, Kambalapally on Tuesday.

At a programme organised on the school premises the club regional chairman A. Srinivas said that they were trying to increase the number of voluntary programmes in government schools. These schools have not only imparted knowledge to the students but have also gone the extra mile to ensure students’ sustained interest in education, he said.

“Most of the communicable and dreaded diseases spread only through drinking water, hence the club has decided to donate water purifiers to the government schools considering the importance of providing purified water to the student community,” Mr. Chandrashekar Rao said. The school Head Master M. Srinivasulu, teachers Sanjeeva, Ganesh Raju, Srivani, G. Venkateshwarlu, Upender, students and other Lions Club representatives were present.
