KTPS expansion works progressing briskly

Work on the 800 MW expansion project (Unit 12, Stage VII) at Kothagudem Thermal Power Station (KTPS) is progressing at a fast pace in Palvancha with the executing agencies deploying heavy equipment including giant cranes at the work site to accelerate the pace of the works on the super-critical unit.

Thanks to the deployment of sophisticated mechanised equipment, the pace of the construction of chimney (275 metre) has gained momentum.

TSGENCO Director (Projects) C Radhakrishna reviewed the progress of the workswith the Chief Engineer, A Ajay, and others at the KTPS complex in Palvancha on Wednesday.
