The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday appointed party’s senior leader and Rajya Sabha member K. Keshava Rao as its Parliamentary party leader.
The Mahabubnagar MP A.P. Jitender Reddy was appointed as the party’s Floor Leader in Lok Sabha and Karimnagar MP B. Vinod Kumar as the Deputy Leader. Another senior leader and Warangal MP Kadiam Srihari has been made party’s whip in Parliament, party sources said.
Speaking to mediapersons later, Mr. Jitender Reddy said that the party would not compromise on the interests of Telangana including the Polavaram issue. The MPs would raise the issue in the coming session of Parliament and explain how the transfer of seven mandals of Khammam district would be detrimental to the interests of tribal communities displaced by the project.
