Five gram panchayats and five mandals in the district would be granted special funds worth Rs. 5 lakh each as reward as part of Telangana Formation Day celebrations, said Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari.
The selected gram panchayats and five mandals would be given the reward in recognition of best implementation of welfare programmes introduced by the State government. Similarly, five best officers would also be presented awards, while five best students who excelled in SSC and Intermediate examinations would be presented cash awards.
District Collector V. Karuna said appointment letters to family members of 117 Telangana martyrs would be given on June 2. Mr Srihari and Minister A. Chandulal reviewed the arrangements being made for the State formation day celebrations.
ZP chairperson G. Padma, MP P. Dayakar, MLAs D. Vinay Bhasker, K. Surekha and M. Yadagiri Reddy, Commissioner of Police G. Sudheer Babu, rural SP A.K. Jha, municipal commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Joint Collector Prashanth Patil were present.
