District Collector Neetu Prasad donated blood as part of the Telangana Formation Day celebrations at the Government Headquarters Hospital here on Thursday.

Minister for Finance and Civil Supplies Etala Rajender inaugurated the blood donation camp along with Z.P. Chairperson Tula Uma, Mayor S. Ravinder Singh and others. On this occasion, 70 officials including DM&HO A. Rajesham, Municipal Commissioner D. Krishna Bhaskar, Karimnagar RDO Chandrashekhar, Karimnagar Two Town Inspector Hariprasad and others donated blood. Earlier, the Finance Minister distributed fruits to the patients of the hospital.

On this occasion, the Minister inaugurated the NAAT (nucleic acid amplification test) laboratory at the Government Hospital which was aimed at detecting the T.B. disease accurately within a short period benefiting poor patients. This facility will be made available free-of-cost.
