Celebrations were held in Medak, Siddipet and Zaheerabad on Monday by burning crackers and holding rallies hailing the government for forming new districts and revenue divisions.
In Siddipet, Lok Sabha member Kotha Prabhakar Reddy participated in the celebrations.
Deputy Speaker M. Padma Devender Reddy participated in the celebrations and offered palabhishekam to the photo of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Lok Sabha member B.B. Patil was also present in the celebrations held in Zaheerabad.
Medak and Toopran, the newly proposed revenue division, will be part of Medak district, with Medak as its headquarters. Medak, Papannapet, Ramayampet, Shankarmpet (R), Shankarampet (A), Tekmal, Alladurg, Regod and Kulcharam mandals of Medak revenue division, and Toopran, Chegunta, Kowdipalle, Shivampet and Yeldurthi mandals of Toopran division will constitute Medak district.
Coming to Sangareddy district, Sangareddy and Narayanakhed (newly proposed) divisions will be part of that. Sangareddy, Kondapur, Sadashivapet, Patancheru, Ameenpur (newly proposed mandal), Ramachandrapuram, Pukal, Jinnaram, Gummadidala (new), Hatnoora, Andol and Narsapur of Sangareddy revenue division, Kalher, Kangti, Narayanakhed, Sirgapur (new), Manoor mandals of newly proposed Narayanakhed revenue division, and Muniaplly, Kohir, Raikod, Jarasangam, Nyalakal and Zaheerabad of the newly proposed Zaheerabad revenue division, will be part of it, and Sangareddy will be the district headquarters.
In case of Siddipet district, Siddipet and Gajwel (new) divisions will form the new district. Two mandals from Warangal and four mandals from Karimnagar have been added in the proposals.
In Siddipet division, Dubbak, Mirdoddi, Toguta, Nanganoor, Chinnakodur, Siddipet Urban and Siddipet Rural (new), Koheda, Husnabad, Mustabad and Ellanthakunta (from Karimnagar and Sircilla revenue divisions respectively) and Doultabad, Gajwel, Jagadevpur, Kondapak, Mulugu and Wargal newly proposed Gajwel revenue division and Cherial and Maddur of Jangaon revenue division of Warangal district would become part of the new district of Siddipet.
