Students of Telangana University donated blood to S.B. Blood Bank in connection with the National Social Service (NSS) day at the varsity campus at Dichpally on Thursday.

NSS volunteers participated in the camp.

Inaugurating the camp, university college principal Prof. P. Kanakaiah said that the NSS had proved useful in solving several problems in rural areas. NSS coordinator Arathi described blood donation as ‘a sublime act of serving society’.

Karimnagar Special Correspondent adds: On the occasion of NSS day, students and NSS volunteers of Vivekananda Degree and PG College participated in a blood donation camp in Karimnagar town. College principal Ch. Srinivas said that the NSS volunteers were at the forefront in donating blood during emergencies. He said that the volunteers had so far conducted 25 blood donation camps.
